Cayla has over fifteen years of experience designing logos, art and book illustrations for private clients. Her personal work often combines illustration, graphic design, photo-journalism and poetry.
Cayla's artistic interests include book design, cartooning, illustration, graphic design, landscape drawing and photography.
Her work increasingly focuses on the fields of storytelling, poetry, ethnobotany, Eco-conscious design and fashion, sustainable farming and food sourcing, forest therapy and the history of nature connection practices.
Cayla wrote and illustrated her first children's picture book, "How To Meet The Forest," for the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy in 2016, which is in the process of publication.
Cayla has a Bachelors degree from Eastern Michigan University in Visual Arts Education. She taught K-8 art full time from 2008 to 2016, and occasionally offers adult classes at the Ann Arbor Art Center.
